Solution Architect - Algorithmic Trading

Project / Role:
Our client is looking for an experienced consultant to develop and validate an end-to-end solution architecture for the Auto Algo Trading platform that enables informed decision-making and supports Gate 2 / SIB approval, including architecture, governance, ownership, and operating model considerations. (Reference Number: 925062RF)

Main Tasks:
• Develop and consolidate an integrated algorithmic trading architecture covering:
- Signal Layer
- Execution Layer
- Trade Capture & Audit Trail
- Data & Reporting Interfaces
• Structure and clarify open business and technical requirements and drive architectural decisions.
• Define architecture options, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
• Support build-vs-buy assessments and vendor evaluations.
• Ensure governance, auditability, operational controls, and regulatory compliance are reflected in the target architecture.
• Define and align ownership models, responsibilities, and operating model considerations.
• Prepare decision-ready architecture documentation, risks, assumptions, and recommendations for Architecture Board and SIB discussions.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders across Trading, IT, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and external partners.

Required Skills:
• Demonstrable hands-on experience designing, building, or integrating algorithmic trading platforms.
• Strong end-to-end understanding of:
- Market Data
- Signal Generation
- Execution
- Order Management
- Trade Capture
- Auditability and Monitoring
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect, or Technical Lead in complex trading or financial technology environments.
• Ability to make well-founded architectural decisions under conditions of uncertainty and communicate trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Experience preparing architecture proposals and decision material for steering committees, architecture boards, or governance forums.
• Experience with regulatory and governance requirements in trading environments (e.g. MiFID II, RTS-6, auditability, approval controls, change governance).
• Experience defining operating models, ownership models, and governance processes is highly desirable.
• Commodity and/or energy trading experience is a strong advantage.
• English (project language)
• French or German (are a plus)
