Quantitative Risk Developer - Python/PySpark/Snowflake/Risk Models/Simulations

Project:

For our client in the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced Risk Quantitative Developer. In this role you will design, develop and optimize quantitative risk models and simulation-based analytics using Python, PySpark and Snowflake, supporting key risk management and trading decisions in a data-driven environment.

Assignments:

• Design, implement and maintain quantitative risk models in Python
• Develop scalable data processing pipelines and analytics solutions using PySpark in a distributed environment
• Build and optimize data-driven solutions and risk reporting layers on Snowflake
• Implement and enhance Monte Carlo or similar simulation methods for scenario and sensitivity analyses
• Ensure model quality through rigorous testing, validation, documentation and performance tuning
• Contribute to best practices, coding standards and continuous improvement of the quantitative development framework
• Support migration, integration and industrialization of models from prototypes to production-grade systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantitative Developer, Risk Modeler or Developer with quant focus
• More than 3 years of experience developing software solutions in Python and Pyspark
• Proven working experience with Snowflake
• Solid understanding of quantitative methods for risk analysis
• Experience with Monte Carlo simulations or similar simulation techniques for risk purposes
• Previous exposure to the energy industry is a strong plus
• Strong understanding of software engineering practices (version control, testing, CI/CD, code reviews)

Languages:

• Englisch fluent (C1 / C2 Level)
• German nice to have
