We offer you a position where you will acquire, maintain, and develop the Spine Therapies (Core Spine, Interventional, Biologics) within existing and new customers in line with the “District Sales Manager Cranial and Spinal Technologies” guidelines in the defined sales territory while meeting or exceeding financial and non-financial targets, in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. Furthermore, you will be responsible for providing clinical case support in the operating room to surgeons/nursing staff and developing/generating leads for X-business activities such as: intraoperative imaging (O-armTM), drills (Midas Rex®), navigation (StealthStationTM) and robotics solutions (Mazor TM) in your territory in cooperation with specialists and colleagues. The position is based in Canton of Bern. A Day in the Life Selling and account support: • Providing clinical case support in operating room to surgeons and nursing staff in the operating theatre. • Acquiring, maintaining, and developing new and existing customers within the assigned territory. • Generating leads for the portfolio (Core Spine, Interventional, Biologics, Midas, Nav, O-arm, Mazor). • Analyzing the marketplace, developing an effective territory/account sales strategy, and presenting the strategy to management to gain approval for implementation. • Further developing of existing accounts into new therapies and develops entirely new accounts. • Building strong and lasting business relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process. • Attending and participating in key professional congresses and events as required. • Ensuring that consignment and all other stock levels are properly controlled (asset management). • In conjunction with other members of the team, planning sales coverage/resources in the most effective and economical manner. • Above average flexibility in working hours/schedule. Education/training: • Training and educating relevant hospital staff on Spine Portfolio Products (Core Spine, Biologics, Interventional), using Medtronic resources in the most effective way. • Maintaining and acquiring new product, technology, market, sales tool and process knowledge. Internal and administrative: • Reporting all account, market and competitive information and trends and metrics in a comprehensive, complete, and timely fashion. • Planning and preparing sales forecasts by account, product, and therapy for the territory along with proposed meetings/customer activities and investments. A Day in the Life You will be responsible for the development of account plans and the implementation of sales and marketing strategies in the territory. Realization of the given sales and profit targets, delivery of sales forecasts as well as preparation of sales analyses. You will proactive support of all existing customers as well as customer acquisition. Maintain existing business, expand market share and promote system sales (Conversion from competitors). You will maintain our excellent customer contacts, develop new relationships and work on new key opinion leaders. You will present and give trainings of our interventional innovative products, applications and solutions in coronary and peripheral field to physicians and cathlab staff. You will prepare proposals and contracts for the purchasing department of the hospitals, also plan and implement local workshops, seminars and educational events.
